Finally got around to watching Gran Torino and remembered how bad ass clint eastwood really is, felt like painting a quick portrait of him and this is what came out of it. Enjoy!!

Girl on the Phone

So this is just a quick painting I did. Someone suggested I should draw a girl on a phone so I did. Simple, stupid, funny.

CHIMPS!!!

I did this for the New Tapestry project for Kessels-Kramer. I did mine on the February attack on Charla Nash by Travis the Chimp, pretty freaky stuff.

The Blueprint

This was the third painting in the "rapper" series. Pretty self explanatory.

Tupac

The second painting I did in the "rapper" series, I mean if you do Biggie, you gotta do Pac. And I am well aware of the low contrast, not something you'd ever see in print but it looks pretty good on the wall. It was actually pretty hard to get a decent picture of it for this.

Shady

This was my third in the "rapper" series, actually went through a bunch of dumb ideas with this one, and went with the traditional 'american gothic' look. Also learned that its really hard to paint with a lot of red.

B.I.G.

This was the first painting I did following my graduation. I just wanted to do something a little dumbed down, but still have a nice impact, much more graphic and simple than I usually do. This was also the first in the "rapper" series I'm working on, one more to do Snoop Dogg.

First Ever Blog

My name is Jeff Strack and this is my first ever blog. I held off for four years in college and finally gave in now, mainly cause I need input on what I've been painting.I am a graduate of Sheridan College in Oakville, where I studied Illustration for four years. I'm not sure how often I'm gonna be updating this, or even if I'm gonna stick with all art (which I originally intended.) So honestly I'm just gonna play it by ear.
